Fuengirola in 25 minutes: the short minivan ride that saves the most hassle
Fuengirola is only 25 km from the airport, which is exactly why groups try the taxi rank first and regret it: eight people with luggage do not fit in a four-seat taxi, the 8-seater taxis are few, and the queue in August moves slowly. For €75 the minivan is waiting for you in arrivals, loads everything in one go and drops you at the hotel on the Paseo Marítimo, the apartment in Los Boliches or the villa in Torreblanca in about 25 minutes. With six people that is about €13 each.
Fuengirola is a family town with a seven-kilometre promenade, the zoo (Bioparc), the castle and the Sunday market, and most of our groups here are three-generation families or parents with several children. The minivan has ISOFIX anchors in all three rows and we fit baby seats, child seats and boosters free of charge before the driver reaches the terminal.

The minivans we use for Fuengirola
Mercedes Vito or V-Class, or a comparable 8-seater (Ford Tourneo Custom, Volkswagen Caravelle): all with air conditioning, individual seats and a separate luggage compartment. We never use shuttle minibuses or shared vehicles.

Minivan to Fuengirola: questions groups ask us
Is the minivan worth it for such a short trip?
For five or more people, yes: the alternative is two taxis at the rank or waiting for an 8-seater, and in summer the queue alone can take longer than the drive. For €75 the driver is in arrivals with your name and the whole group leaves together.
We have two babies and a four-year-old. Do you have the seats?
Yes: two baby seats and a child seat, all free, fitted before the driver reaches the terminal. Choose them in the booking form. Every child needs a seat of their own, so a family of two adults and four children books the minivan for six.
Does the minivan also pick us up at Fuengirola station or the port?
We pick up anywhere in Fuengirola, including the train station, the port and the hotels on the promenade. For the return to the airport choose Return in the form; the driver collects you at the address you give at the agreed time.
Our apartment is in Mijas Costa, just past Fuengirola. Same price?
Addresses in Fuengirola, Los Boliches, Carvajal and Torreblanca are €75. Mijas Costa, La Cala and Calahonda are separate routes a few euros higher; choose them in the form and the minivan price appears immediately.
Is €75 the price for the whole minivan or per person?
For the whole minivan, one way, with VAT included. With 8 people it works out at €9 each. A return trip costs twice the single fare and can be booked in the same form.
We are 9 or 10 people. What do you suggest?
Two vehicles: a minivan plus a sedan, or two minivans, both booked for the same flight and both waiting in arrivals. Write the total number of people in the booking notes and we confirm the combination and the price by email.
